Privacy Policy
Short version
Kadr does not collect, transmit, or sell your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers of ours. Screenshots are captured, edited, and saved entirely on your computer.
What Kadr handles
Screenshots. When you start a capture, Kadr reads the visible content of the tab you chose and builds an image from it. The image is held in your browser while you work on it in the editor and is written to your device only when you save or copy it. Kadr never uploads it anywhere.
Editor preferences. Settings such as theme, last-used look, and capture options are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage). They stay on your machine and are removed when you uninstall the extension.
Kadr does not read, store, or transmit passwords, form contents, browsing history, cookies, or page text. It does not track which sites you visit.
Permissions and why they are needed
- Access to the sites you visit (
<all_urls>,activeTab,scripting,tabs) — required to take a screenshot of the page you are currently on. Used only when you start a capture. debugger— optional high-accuracy full-page capture mode, which uses Chrome’s built-in capture command. Used only for capturing, and only while a capture is running.downloads,clipboardWrite— to save a finished screenshot to your device or copy it to the clipboard.storage,unlimitedStorage,offscreen— to hold the screenshot in progress and remember your preferences locally.
Third parties
- Google Fonts. The editor loads its fonts from Google’s font service. As with any web request, Google receives your IP address and browser information. No screenshot or usage data is sent.
- Support page. If you click a support link, or when you uninstall the extension, your browser opens our support page at wrongorbit.com. The link includes the extension version so we know which build a report refers to. Nothing about your screenshots or browsing is included.
Data retention
Everything Kadr stores stays in your browser profile and is deleted when you remove the extension. Saved screenshots remain on your device under your control.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published with the extension and the date above will be revised.
